OUR HISTORY

Our story began in 1988 when area pastors suggested that a mission be started in the Romeo area. Under the direction of area Lutheran Churches, the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod purchased 8 acres of land on the edge of Romeo. This is the site where Grace Lutheran is now located.


In 1989, the first gathering of worship took place at Hamilton Parsons Elementary School. This gathering of believers grew substantially in the next 12 years under the leadership of Pastor Lynn Witt.


Blessed by the grace of God, Grace has now grown from 56 members to our current membership of over 600.


Over the years God's grace has been humbly received. We thank Him for the blessing of serving our Romeo Community. And we are grateful to God for the opening of Grace Pre-School in September, 2010.


As we move into the future, we know that God has more wonderful plans for us as we continue in our purpose of "Bringing God's Grace to Life."
